Alpha
Portugal and Romania love their Scorcese. Why the hell is Earth to Flop adding screens? That bomb clogged up over 3,000 (empty) theaters during the prime of Summer and yet somehow they convinced theaters to pick it up again? So they can make more money off it. Duh. Also, I guess because the market for family movies is currently owned by GOTG and TMNT.
terrestrial
$425,000 for When the Game Stands Tall 'Midnights' Thursday To add fodder to the weekend guesses: Sin City's & If I Stay RTs look not that good for the moment Sin City 2 40% av. 5.4/10 (85 reviews), 80% Audience report If I Stay 41% av. 5/0 (60 reviews), 80% Audience report (better than TMNT got, but according to the users here that isn't that important as rather enjoyable? More reviews still to come)

JohnnyGossamer
Caps and X-Men really had ridiculous jumps in WW totals at BO this year. Whoa.
terrestrial
I think they'll be even closer on Friday than that. Seriously? That small of a difference or is it a joke as it is so difficult to guess as accurate? pepsa
Romania's an expanding market. Just imagine that in 2007 no movie made $0.5M. Now we have around 10 over 1M movies each year and quite a few over 2M (especially Ice Age, Hobbit, Pirates movies). Avatar made close to 6M. And if you wanna talk anomalies, Percy Jackson is one of the biggest movies ever here, much bigger than any Marvel/DC/HP . Also 'Pompeii' and 'The Legend of Hercules' (the Kellan Lutz movie) will beat most films this year, including Marvel ones. Right now, the biggest of 2014 is '300: Rise of an Empire' (closely followed by 'The Wolf of Wall Street') and it will almost certainly remain that way till the final Hobbit movie comes and becomes no. 2 all time after Avatar. Also, just to realise how much the market has grown, in 2006 'The Da Vinci Code' was the top movie. In 2008, 'Angels & Demons' made a bit more than 'Da Vinci', but it was no. 11 for the year. In 2015, SW7 and Inferno will open head to head and 'Inferno' has a really good chance of ending on top. Dan Brown is immensely popular here. If you guys love the hobbit, Then I love your country XD

James
If you guys love the hobbit, Then I love your country XD Haha, after the final Hobbit lands, TH trilogy will own the #2, #3 and #4 all time. I can't see anyting in the near future to top them. Maybe the next Ice Age or POTC. But as I said, it's an expanding market. Weird things can happen

Be happy about each Dollar spend at the BO, the year will already kill some cinema's existence as bad as it is this year. GotG & TMNT were much needed for this summer and still are not enough
