mahnamahna
That be awesome for Bond and Snoopy! These awful last two weekends of October should help out Spectre and Peanuts considerably.
Impact
Well I've had high numbers for Peanuts for well years-back on Mojo even I said it will do better then Mr. Peabody and people laughed at me Proof you don't need ANY names in your animated film to do well! (Considering the only "star" in it is a 11 year old girl who was on a Disney channel show and that's it!) Its a popular 65 year old franchise that everyone loves! And Bond is Bond! dxmatrixdt
Will Halloween falling on a Saturday help or hurt weekend grosses? I think it will hurt everything. It just depends on the degree of hurt. Horror movies should have a typical Friday and Sunday and a 15% increase on Sat as opposed to a 45-60% increase. Adult oriented films will face game 4 of world series on Saturday, so i do not know if 2009 is worth comparing to when 2009 showed 15-25% increases for adult films. maybe 5-20%. FIlms targeting female majority should increase 20-45%. Kids movies should drop 10% Saturday but increase about 20-40% on Sunday posting much higher Sunday numbers than Friday numbers. Some Sunday numbers might be up 25-33% up from Friday for kid films. However, comparisons with recent years show Sunday numbers dropping a little higher and being closer to Friday numbers. Also game 5 of world series is on Sunday.
