Furious 7 keeps filling the tank with a weekend estimate of $19.6M in 67 territories for a total of $1.13B. Combined with the U.S. tally, the worldwide total is $1.47B. Notably this frame, F7 crossed $200M in Latin America, the first time Universal has reached the milestone and the second time in history after The Avengers.F7 cuts its engines in the Middle Kingdom this frame as Ultron lands. The 5th weekend estimate there is $8.4M for a total of $388M.

Deadline said that it crossed $200m this weekend and the-numbers had it way over that number one week ago. I think something with Venezuela or Central America cannot be right... but this is so much more complete than what they are showing us of AoU

It has Japan at 17m, its over 21 now isn't it? Maybe that's why midweeks have been large. They are catching up on some numbers perhaps.

China added 1.5m mon-tues and closed

 

Japan is averaging better than 150k per day this week after a strong 40% weekend hold. It could be close to 800k m-f and probably 800k this weeknd. Little in the way of new openers post GW in Japan. Increasing on a sequel is becoming a rarity in Japan. They must really like it. I could see another 3.2m after this weekend with the way Japan can be leggy.

 

OS had a 10m weekend w/o japan. I still believe it can do over 2x. 20-25m still there. No data to see how its doing midweek

 

DOM holding better than down 20% for the last 5 days. That was expected after AOU opening. Another good hold of 40% or better and a Memorial day bump could help it to do up to 3x more from last weekend. IM3 and TA1 did a similar multiplier from this level.

They have done late summer pushes with movies to get them over milestones. Last year "This is the end" made 4m after it was dead with an expansion to get over 100m. Italian Job did the same making 10m more 10 years ago. If FF7 is still alive in late August and they haven't released the DVD they could do an IMAX expansion, a few weeks after F4 and MI5, in a few countries and make several more million for bragging rights over TA1, TA2,  and #3 WW to promote DVD and FF8

Dom 3.5m weekend. for the week 5.1m 

china mon-tues1.4 m

I assume OS at least doubled DOM midweek at 3.2m and will hold 55% of last weekend, 5.5m, for a week total of  8.7m

 

FF7 should come in close to 1.483 B
