And, Boyhood has had consistent momentum even well before it was released to theaters. For Selma to win, it has to be really good and have a huge Oscar campaign pretty much starting right now when it goes wide. I mean, they have to really, really push this film for it to win BP. Sniper had no problem getting in despite barely any buzz, while Serma has had the buzz for months and it has been widely seen through January. Foxcatcher and American Sniper inclusions are really surprising, because they won traction over two PGA-friendlier films: Selma and Unbroken. I expected Nightcrawler getting in.
