Streep almost seemed bored saying Boyhood.

 

Goddess looks amazing on stage first of all. 

 

And I wanna say I read an article somewhere where Meryl implied that she didn't particularly care for the movie? I can't remember, maybe I'm imagining it or maybe like it was someone else, but I have a vague memory....

Boyhood and GBH are two movies I truly do not care about but I guess I will have to see them soon.

It's the Hollywood Foreign Press Association....... American Sniper will do well on AMPAS morning tho.

This is gonna be a fun Awards season. I feel things are not as obvious as they usually are in the big categories. Director, Actress and Supporting Actor are a lock, but all the others seem to be far from that.

Kind of surprised that the Globes didn't have an in memoriam segment for Robin Williams.

I will see them both next weekend. My parents already saw Boyhood and they told me it is a great movie.

overall, most of the winners were predictable, though I can't argue with them. The only surprise was grand budapest winning, which was lovely.

This is like a repeat of 2012, when Brave beat Wreck-It Ralph. Even though Dragon 2 is a much better Scottish animated film

They're press members of foreign countries in Hollywood. Mostly Brazilian, European and Canadian I believe. 

 

Also regarding Keaton vs. Redmayne. Also worth noting that Redmayne won in Drama and Keaton in C/M which is an advantage to Redmayne because Drama is seen as the more prestigious prize (and I want to say by far too when looking at some of the past C/M winners and nominees. You know they gave the same prize Keaton just won to RDJ for Sherlock holmes and that actor in Borat?)

Other way around. Simmons has legitimately not lost a single critics award so far and like he has been actually sweeping. Arquette's actually lost a few here and there.

I think Keira Knightley or Meryl Streep might steal the victory from Patricia Arquette.
