Jupiter Ascending had an estimated $8.9M overseas weekend with nearly 1.3M admissions from over 6,200 screens in 66 markets. The international cume on the Warner release is now $75M. Australia and New Zealand both opened well with $1.56M and $300K respectively. Brazil led holdovers with $824K for a $5.3M cume, followed by France ($717K/$5.9M) and Germany ($656K/$4.5M). China and Japan could push this one over the $100M mark internationally when they open on March 6 and 28.

China could do well. Even Cloud Atlas did well there. But Japan will do nothing for sure. Overall its an expected disappointment. I am surprised Wachowskis keep getting mega budgets.
