MinaTakla
The reason I think Max has a chance is because Youth and Brookltn are both kind of faltering so it may be FSL's first push. And, it should get a ton of below the line noms and those are all BP voters. The actors night even go for it too because of Theron and Hardy. Am so sad YOUTH is getting no buzz. One of my top 3 films of the year so far. Saw it twice at Cannes. LOVED IT. Thought it should be a BP lock. Sadly no and i have no idea why!! The audience at Cannes loved it..except French critics which were grumpy a bit (as usual). Edited September 24, 2015 by MinaTakla

Just ahead of Inside Out for me for favorite English language movie of the year. Absolutely genius. That scene where the concert hall floods as Caine and Miss Universe walk on a platform may get into my top ten of all time. Just sublime and surreal. Yep I also saw Inside out at Cannes and they were my top 2 films at the festival and in 3rd place was Mad Max. My other favorites so far are: The Martian (just came back from the middle east premiere and loved it) as well as The Gift.

WrathOfHan
Damon Depp DiCaprio Fassbender Ramirez It's still unconfirmed that Ramirez is lead, right?
TStechnij
Absolutely. This is a very reactionary response...

Kalo
I really think Damon has a shot at this after seeing The Martian. and Dicaprio is pretty much a lock just after trailers for Revenant.

Agreed, I'd say Damon is fourth behind Fassbender, Leo, and Depp.
FilmBuff
Absolutely. This is a very reactionary response... What the fuck are you talking about? Idiotic thing to say.
TStechnij
What the fuck are you talking about? Idiotic thing to say. What? Everyone having Ramirez in lead without seeing the film and hearing from one person he is co lead. It is reactionary. I might have him in my predictions too. It isn't that warranted though. Impact
The Oscars are odd about co leads anymore-they have not even had 2 leads nominated since 1991 (for best actress). I really don't get it either-like in Chicago wasn't Zeta Jones a co lead?
Impact
Not sure if he will be nominated-but possibly Will Smith-I see that being the only thing the film gets positive reviews for. Of course who knows-he might lose his accent in the film.
TStechnij
I have egg all over my face. Damon totally has a narrative. The Martian will go Comedy at Globes and he will likely win Comedy Actor. I'm not saying he is happening, but he will totally pick up precursors. Definitely ahead of Depp.
