Furious 7 Weekend Numbers: Revised Official Estimate - 146.5M (Sunday underestimated) | Official OS Estimate - 240.4M

Recommended Posts

April still isnt pre-summer, just like January and August still isnt top tier. This just show Easter weekend/first April can handle something massive, same with MLK Day.

Yeah this wekend looks good, but the rest of April is still dead...

It basically depends where Easter falls.

Until October 7, 2016

Gambit and Monster High are both gonna destroy the record

No moreso than March. Historically March has had bigger movies than April, and there's every reason to expect that trend to continue in 2016 and into the future.

CATWS, F7, and F5 are the exceptions, not the rule.

Just like when AIW, pre-2010 would you have said this? Starting to be the rule look at the upcoming April's.

ta's 207m ow record won't be broken until a new movie none of us have heard of yet breaks out in 5-10 years

That seems crazy

Spiderman Opening weekend was broken after 4 long years, then TDK kept it for 4 years (2008-2012)

Its been 3 years since TA opening weekend, it will fall soon or latter.

150 would be a good mark and close enough to the previous Batmans to be a good opening, but realistically expecting more is asking to be disappointed when it might not hit that mark.

Expecting any sort of good movie after MOS is asking to be disappointed.

insurgent now stands at 223 million WW after 3 weekends is that good considering the first did 288 million WW in its entire run ?

It is quite disappointing, considering this one added 3D.

Nah, I don't think Gambit will.

Right now for opening weekends I'm thinking:

Monster High - 210

Gambit - 185

Say the past 5 broken records how many have come from movies none of us heard of: TA, TDK, SM3, DM and SM all known to us.

If Episode VIII actually opens on a Friday in May 2017 (as opposed to a Thursday opening), it could have a good shot at 200 or 207.

That depends on how good (or bad) Star Wars 7 is.

DMC and Spiderman 3 were  guaranteed locks to break the opening weekend.

TA and TDK had huge potential but were surprises.

I can t believe how weak April is in the us this year.

There s absolutely nothing appealing until Avengers except masterpiece in the making The age of Adaline with global superstar Blake Lively.

Seriously, this could help Fast 7 legs since the last 10 minutes of the movie is such an emotionnal punch..

Fast 7 could go as high as 330-340 maybe ...
