Blankments
Only contender out so far is "See You Again," but let's be honest, the Academy probably hasn't even heard of Fast and Furious
CoolioD1
this is a bit of a wildcard category so who knows, they could go for something as popular as see you again or something from alone yet not alone 2 or whatever. they've been embracing hit songs more often recently (skyfall, let it go, happy) after a few years of pretty obscure stuff. DeeCee
There have to be 5 nominees now so no more only 2 nominees.
Avatree
Kind of a hard category to predict, probably the hardest one, since we don't even know which films will have a song, let alone a good enough one to win the Oscar. I don't see how See You Again would win though tbh, but as said above they have given the award to popular songs in the past few years. ddddeeee
Fifty Shades should legit be nominated, twice.

DeeCee
Haven't seen it so I wasn't sure what the second song was. Any word on songs with Minions? Edited April 10, 2015 by DeeCee
filmlover
Both "Love Me Like You Do" and "See You Again" would be very worthy nominees IMO.
Avatree
Both "Love Me Like You Do" and "See You Again" would be very worthy nominees IMO. Why would they be worthy nominees? I know the Oscars are terrible but they're not that terrible.
CoolioD1
say what you will about their taste in film, but it certainly doesn't reach the depths of despair that their taste in music does. Like, I don't think see you again is a legitimately good song by any means but it cooooulllld happen.
DeeCee
There often isn't much to choose from these days. I especially hate extra songs written for musical adaptations just so they can be nominated.
Avatree
It would make my year if Williams writes another Star Wars song, for Episode 7. There often isn't much to choose from these days. I especially hate extra songs written for musical adaptations just so they can be nominated. If they're good, I don't see a problem.
Kalo
"Love me Like You Do" up for an Oscar?! at least "See You Again" has sentimental value.
