Travod
This is a joke, right? He was the best part of the movie. Boy you seem to love to hate on me.
Kevin Bacon
Brad Pitt was the best part of the movie, followed by the writing.Hill was fine, but he certainly wasn't the best part of the movie, and he sure as hell wasn't Oscar worthy, and even if he had been, he'd never be nominated because he's Jonah fucking Hill. It wasn't even his best performance, which goes to Cyrus, and then maybe Superbad.
4815162342
I loved Moneyball but Hill doesn't come anywhere close to an Oscar-worthy performance.
fishstick
Jonah Hill was excellent in Moneyball. Too bad he`s following that up with The Sitter.
Kevin Bacon
I kind of doubt Hill will ever top Cyrus unless he takes a major overhaul of his approach to his career, which is unlikely with him just debuting a new TV show.
fishstick
So far, his new approach to his career is the most original Hollywood ever seen - losing weight! OMG, who could ever think of that? especially in Hollywood? Such novelty to have a skinny actor or actress in the movie. That`ll so make him stand out. Noctis
Ugh: Warner Bros is also heavily promoting Ralph Fiennes, who plays Potter's nemesis, Voldemort, for best supporting actor. This has caused tension at Warner's headquarters, where some senior executives preferred Alan Rickman -- the schoolmaster Severus Snape -- for best supporting actor. "In this last film Rickman is not only powerful but also touching, as his truly heroic sacrifice is revealed," says a former executive. "And, unlike Fiennes, Rickman doesn't need a computer-generated face to do it." Academy voters traditionally favour biographical films over fantasies and comedies. But the Warner Bros marketing team points to the 11 Oscars awarded for the final chapter of the Lord of the Rings trilogy in 2003.Jeff Robinov, the company's film group president, says the climax of the saga was "a testament to great filmmaking".] Edited December 6, 2011 by Noctis

CoolioD1
I think there's no way in hell that will happen. Nor should it.
Impact
Okay I see it as Brooks vs. Von Sydow vs. Kingsley
CoolioD1
Why not Christopher Plummer. I see him as the frontrunner right now Edited December 9, 2011 by CoolioD1
CoolioD1
I think I shall throw out a prediction before SAG, Globes and BFCA all announce nominees in the next couple of days.Albert Brooks - DriveBen Kingsley - HugoPatton Oswalt - Young AdultChristopher Plummer - BeginnersMax Von Sydow - Extremely Loud and Incredibley CloseNo real change here, so far it seems it's between Plummer and Brooks. I'd give Plummer the edge because Brook's is more of a "critic's performance" than Plummer's.
Impact
Brooks seems to be doing really well.
Impact
I just realized this. That is THREE Pixar film voices Coolio. Too bad Hanks is not in the running anymore and that Wilson can't be demoted down to supporting.
Noctis
So annoyed at the unnecessary love for Serkis.

acsc1312
I don't think Oswalt can squeeze out a nomination. Hopefully the Academy picks Nolte instead.
