Weekend Results : 10th - 12th June - Cjohn conjures a win....JUST

 

@CJohn took the top spot on the back of Conjuring 2's opening with 49m.  @chasmmi was however close on his heals with 46m.  In fact I should note the top 5 were only seperated by 9m.  @lucasbenica took down 3rd, @BourneFan #1 in 4th and @grey ghost rounded out the 5.

 

The coming weekend sees the release of one of the big films of the summer.  Finding Dory is expected to dominate the weekend and as such simionski & lucasbenica should dominate the weekend.  Central Intelligence is expected to be no slouch either though, and given the before mentioned Simionski and lucasbenica have investments in CI also, expect both to dominate.

Weekend Results : June 17th - 19th, 2016 - Lucasbenica and Simionski swim out in front of the pack....

 

 @lucasbenica took the top spot thanks to pretty much Dory with 155m.  @Simionski followed closely with a total just shy of 150m.  3rd saw @Exxdee re-enter the top 5 for the first time since March with 69m.  @chasmmi slotted into 4th with 68m while @The Pandaren rounded out the top 5 with 53m.

 

The coming weekend is an interesting one, it could go one of 2 ways.  The expectation from most i think is Dory will continue on swimming at the top, but it's 2nd spot which is interesting.  How big can Independence Day 2 open to.  the original film opened to the then 2nd biggest opening of all time on it's way to an impressive 306m all the way back in 1996.  More importantly, a number of investors to stand gain should the film break out from a total sub 200m which would be a disappointment.  I think lucasbenica will easily hold onto the top spot as none of the current top 5 have invested into ID4-2.  Unless ID4-2 somehow magically opened above 100m that is (I'm holding onto some hope here).

Weekend Results 24-26 June 2016 : Lucasbenica and Simsionski continue swimming...

 

The top 3 positions did not change from last week with @lucasbenica, @Simionski and @Exxdee all holding fort and swimming on their way.  @grey ghost and @Wrath were able to blow up planet on the way to 4th and 5th spot thanks to ID4 2.  Top 12:

Monthly Update : June 2016 - Lucasbenica swims the month out....

 

In what turned out a strong end to the month, @lucasbenica took the month with the 3rd highest June total ever in the game only behind the 2 leaders in the 2010 game which not surprisingly was driven by another pixar film (TS3).  He took just shy of 444m.  I won't go through all the details but @Simionski also faired well with @chasmmi, @Wrath and @Exxdee all topping 200m also.  Here is the top 13:

Weekend Results 1st - 3rd July 2016 : Simionski purges the independence day weekend...

 

 @Simionski and @BourneFan #1 both saw strong holds or upticks compared to others in the chart this weekend thanks to their investment in the purge election year which slightly over performed against expectations.  In resulted with Simionski easily taking the top spot from @lucasbenica who slipped to 2nd.  bourneFan#1 managed a jump into 3rd with @Exxdee and @chasmmi rounding out the top 5.  

 

I'm not even going to attempt to talk about next week as I really have no idea who will win!

Weekend Results 8th - 10th July 2016 : Simionski proves his secret life isn't worth purging....

 

For the second weekend running, @Simionski has topped the chart with over 140m.  @BourneFan #1 jumped into 2nd with 121m with myself (JJ-8) right behind on 120m.  @grey ghost managed 4th while @CJohn rounded out the top 5.  All of the top 5 made > 100m this weekend.

Weekend Results - 15th - 17th July 2016 : Simionski continues to lead......

 

 The top 5 from last weekend did not change with @Simionski, @BourneFan #1, @JJ-8, @grey ghost and @CJohn all holding down their various positions.  All suffered approximately a 51% drop from last weekend.

 

I'm not even going to attempt to project the coming weekend with investments in both Ice Age 5 & Star Trek Beyond across the board. (I'm secretly hoping for my first victory of the year at the moment)

Weekend Results 24th July 2016 : Simionski holds out in Space, now into his fourth week....

 

 @Simionski has managed to hold onto the top spot on the chart another week with a further 126m.  Each week he has been threatened but no one has been able to knock off his perch since July started.  I made a run at the top this week with 109m to my name but missed like every but simionski has this month.  Last weekends number 2, @BourneFan #1 dipped to 3rd with 56m.  @Exxdee slipped into 4th with cool 45m.  While @chasmmi and his dreams managed to round out the top 5 with a further 33m.

 

No surprises who is leading July, i'm in there with bournefan#1, grey ghost and cjohn all in the mix for July.  still a week to go though, and Jason Bourne is on target.  So I'm afraid is Simionski has a 95% investment in JB.  In fact i expect Simionski to lead for the next 2 to 4 weeks depending on how large Suicide Squad opens as he also has a 100% investment in that film.  Is this too much of a good thing though, as Simionski has seemingly blown his budget with him well into the red zone of restrictions at the moment (before the 2 above releases are added to the list)

I would like to think that 5% of Bourne, 100% of Bad Mom's, 25% Ice age, 100% of Nerve, 10% Ghostbusters and 50% Mike and Dave, plus a couple things like Conjuring, Central Intelligence etc, has a chance to outgross, 75% Star Trek, 100% Lights Out, 100% SLOP, 75% Dory, 100% Purge and some minor Holdovers

 

In a perfect world Simionski's extras gross about $20M + $9M + $18M + $4M +$1M = $52M or so

 

And mine get: $3M + $25M + $2.5M + $10M + $2M + $1.5M = $44M Ummm if err... Lights Out and Star Trek Sink big and Bad Moms hits like $35M with Bourne making $80 and an epic hold from Ice Age...

Weekend Results 29th to 31st July 2016 : Simionski runs the show for the 5th week running...

 

For the 5th week in a row, @Simionski has managed to top the game with nearly a further 119m.  He was however chase all the way to the top spot by @chasmmi who amassed a tidy 107m to his name this week.  Not surprisingly, @BourneFan #1 figured in the top 5 on the weekend with his favourite character / film in release.  He pulled down 89m.  I managed a further 56m off nearly 50% from last weekend and @Exxdee rounded out the top 5 with nearly 35m.

 

As it also turns out, this weekend gone coincided with the end of month.  Given he lead every weekend of the month, there is no doubt who led the month overall ... Simionski blew the competition with a record breaking 748m for the month.  Amazingly he has topped all time record for ALL months ever in the game that was owned by Radier Gummi from back in July 2011.  He managed a tidy 713m back in the day.  I managed to pull in 2nd spot with over 512m.  BourneFan#1 was also over 500m.  @grey ghost & @CJohn rounded out the top 5 for the month.  The aggregate for the month was nearly 3.4B which wasn't able to match the crazy 3.9B from July 2011.

 

The coming weekend will see another win to Simionski given the fact he has a 100% investment Suicide Squad and he led the weekend just gone.  Simionski now leads the game overall thanks to some very smart investing through the month of July.  Knowing full well he would become restricted was no issue given he would be earning so many $ through the period.

He has now sat astride the  game for some 6 weeks a row.  Thankfully this was the last weekend where he had an investment in a release.  He is currently unable to invest in wide releases thanks to his little spree through July and into August.  Anyway he led the weekend with a fantastic 186m.  He is also the first player to crest the 2 Billion in Revenue in 2016.  I think a lot had @Wrath or @lucasbenica cresting the 2 Billion mark first but they have both gone quiet over past few months allowing Simionski  to dominate.  While Simionski dominates up top, plenty of others made some dough this weekend.  @grey ghost pulled in 132m in 2nd, @Exxdee who is also restricted at the moment pulled down 126m in 3rd.  @chasmmi another player who is restricted was  in 4th with 87m.   @BourneFan #1 slipped to 5th with 38m.

 

Can Simionski hold onto the spot with just holdovers now. How long can he hold on.  Next weekend see 3 wide releases with at least 2 being reasonable chances at helping someone pip him especially if Suicide Squad sees a large fall off as  it appears it may do.  Oh and we have dropped to 11 players who are earning at the moment of which only 9 are actually active.

@Exxdee took the win this week, @chasmmi slipped into 2nd which pushed @Simionski to 3rd (after his 7 week run at the top).. I landed in 4th and @grey ghost rounded out the 5.
