Weekend Results 13th - 15th 2016 : CJohn holds the line as Angry Birds and the Sorority Girls threaten his lead...

Not surprisingly, with very limited investments this week (or very weak investments), @CJohn easily held onto the top spot with a further 75m.  In fact I should just say that the Top 5 did not change this week with @grey ghost in 2nd with 62m, @BourneFan #1 3rd with 48m, @Simionski 4th with 43m and @Wrath rounding out the top 5 with 23m.  In fact on Wrath in the top 5 was able to hold to 30%.  Everyone else dipped nearly 60% in line with Civil War.

As noted, 3 wide releases will meet the box office this weekend coming.  As it stands, @JJ-8, @BourneFan #1, @Simionski all have investments which will help take them to them to the top.  Unless Angry Birds has a massive break out, it appears the bournefan#1 will take the top spot with investments in both neighbors 2 and the nice guys.

July Investments Thread is up!  12 Wide releases.  Budgets are up and suprisingly, we have some good sources for most of the movies in July, so the budgets are pretty close hopefully this time around.

Weekend Results : 20th - 22nd May 2016 - The Angriest bird is BourneFan#1 as the Apocalypse approaches....

@BourneFan #1 took out the honours this week eeking a strong victory with over 60m.  2nd was @Simionski pushing his was back up the chart with nearly 50m.  I took down third with 45m ( @JJ-8).  our former #1 @CJohn slid to 5th spot with a further 35m in the till.  This week also saw @Wrath finally be released from his investment restrictions.  Fair warning to all, he has lots of money to spend.  Everyone's free reign while the giant slept is over....

Weekend Results 27th - 29th May 2016 : Wrath steals the show again....

In a late turn of events with a last minute investment in X-Men saw @Wrath retake the top spot with over 74m.  I took out 2nd (I would be top but for Wrath's cheeky grab) with 69m.  @BourneFan #1 slipped to 3rd (from the top) with a further 29m.  @Simionski slipped to 4th while @chasmmi managed to round out the top 5.  Not surprisingly the big mover of the week was Wrath who jumped from 10th back into the top spot.

Overall for the month though, it was @CJohn who dominated with 395m on the back of pretty much Civil War.  @BourneFan #1 and @grey ghost were both just behind him in the 320m's.  Simionski in 4th with 286m and Wrath managed to round out the top 5 with a less dominating 227m.

So @JJ-8 as much as people want can be invested during the first minute of investment time? Thank you so much for telling me for next time, but would it be possible to just had that rule clarified please? :)

I had stated that prior to Finding Dory.

i will accept everyones investment over and above the 300% limit if all investments fall at the same time (to the minute) - usually for only the first minute.. beyond that it's first in best served.

February - FINAL Summary

A total of 13 wide releases were presented for February 2016 as available investments.  In the end 12 wide releases were released during the month of which investors chose to invest in 10 of those films.  2 films were avoided.  In particular, The Choice on the first weekend of February and the big budget film "Gods of Egypt" released on the final weekend.

The first weekend saw the release of 3 modestly priced films.  In the end investors in Hail Caesar saw a small return of 8m on their investment while investors in PPZ would have been better putting their money into The Choice as PPZ was a 18m loss in the end.  The Choice which received no investments actually in the end had a 9m profit on a 10m budget.  The weekend itself was led by Simionski with a weak 17m.  He took it on the back of an investment in Hail Caesar.

The 2nd weekend was valentines & Presidents Day Long Weekend.  It saw the release of How to be Single, the sequel Zoolander 2 and the R rated Deadpool.  In the end it would be Deadpool that not only trashed the weekend but also the month easily dominating.  In fact Deadpool's final total is still the 2nd biggest of 2016 only behind Civil War with over 360m on a mere  58m budget.  How to be single also managed a solid return with 48m off a 38m budget while Zoolander 2 turned in a disappointing result with only 28m off a 40m budget.  Of course, as a result of the big results of Deadpool, we saw a large uptick in takings and has ultimately taken both Wrath and lucasbenica into lead positions in the game.  Wrath led the weekend with 144m only just ahead of lucas with 136m.  JJ-8 & the Panda also had some takings from Deadpool which before the opening was no slam dunk like it ended up being.

The 3rd weekend saw the release of 3 cheaply priced films in Race and The Witch and Risen with Risen being the most expensive at 20m.  All 3 films turned in tidy profits at the end of things.  Still the winners of the weekend remained as holdovers thanks to Deadpool with Wrath and Lucas leading again.

The final weekend had 3 releases with Eddie the Eagle and Triple 9 both gaining investments though neither film turned a profit.  However, investors avoided the big budget bomb in Gods of Egypt like the plague.  As noted it was a tough weekend, Gods in particular while impacting no one only made its way to 31m off a 140m budget.  As a result, holdovers again held the top.

Overall as you might have guessed, February turned into those who invested in "Deadpool" and those that didn't.  The final totals for all the movies released in February is below.  After that is the February investors result (calendar)
