Spectre vs QoS comparison:

Friday: 28.0 vs 27.0

Saturday: 27.2 vs 25.8

QoS Total:168.4M

If the legs are also similar, then Spectre will probably finish with 175-180M. 200M is probably gone.

It's funny that Bond, Bourne and Ethan Hunt are all around the 200 m range.

The Spy genre is pretty consistent.

Skyfall probably reached the ceiling but the safe bet is that they'll make 180-220 m every time.

If Peanuts Movie keeps up with great legs...it could manage to do over $200M DOM....and who would have thought that?....No one.

More than a few including myself predicted a $200M or more gross for Peanuts

QOS adjusts to $196m so that would supplant QOS as the lowest attended Bond film in the US since LTK (granted that was a fraction of this).

Good hold for Spectre

Great increase for Peanuts

The Martian...... holy shit. This movie continues to defy expectations.

After the OW i was sure that i'll win the Martian under 220M bet. Well, i was wrong. :redcapes:

So SPECTRE can drop 35% from Skyfall total? That's a lot, more than any of the recent blockbuster sequels. WWW?

I must admit I overpredicted SPECTRE after SKYFALL. However, after considering everything, there's nothing really wrong about its performance.

I'm thinking of seeing Bridge of Spies today. Just make it a weekend of spies for me. Thoughts?

Do you think there are way too many spy movies this year?

Kingsmen $400M WW

Spy $100M McCarthy movie

Man from UNCLE

MI5 $600M WW

Spectre at least $800M WW

Bridge of Spies

American Ultra

Taken 3, Mortdecai & Agent 47, all have spy elements in them

Bring back some drama, romance & some mind-f*ck thriller like The Gift

There are many disappointing sequels in the last few years, Age of Ultron (-26.3%), Mockingjay 1 (-20.6%), TDKR (-16.1%), but this can be much worse.
