Weekend Thread: Grimsby Bros leads the way with massive 3.1M, 10CL has decent 25.2M, Zootopia crumbles to $50M ;) P.31

Nice for Zoo - 12.5 was my number for 50+ so glad to see it reach that level now to see how Saturday fares.

What happened to Young Messiah?? That should have been like 1/2 the weekend total not the full total. Maybe deadline has the total wrong in comparison to previews.

Grimsby... well I still didn't go low enough in the derby *sigh*

Go deadpool

With that kind of drop, Zoo will clear $300M easily now.

In general, a movie will get halfway to its final gross sometime on the second weekend. This means Zootopia will need to have exceptional legs to end with more than about $286M.

Usually movies hold better in the 3rd weekend than the 2nd weekend, but that may not happen always if the 2nd weekend is stellar.

With 30-35% drop next weekend ZOOTP could do 33-35m.

I think Allegiant will do 35-38m.

So there's a shot, a small one, at a ZOOTP three-peat.

I'm expecting Allegiaint to flop with 25M so I think Zootopia will threepeat easily.

That .5m makes a huge difference in playability.... 50m became difficult.

Yes, it can extrapolate up to ~2m for the weekend.
