POTUS 2020
RE PS at 13m. Could approach 200m OD if PS keeps this pace.

Blaze Heatnix
Insane for Resident Evil. Its opening day in China is gonna be bigger than its entire domestic performance, lol. I'm pretty sure we'll get another movie very soon. Mark my words. Edited February 19, 2017 by Blaze Heatnix

We have seen presales slowing down in the last 2 days compared to other big movies and that can also happen here.. it looks extremely frontloaded when you look at sat and sun numbers.. So i really think that people should calm down a bit and don't treat this like Avatar 2. I'm saying 120 mill yuan for now with the chance of more

Ring of Gyges
Resident Evil has incredible presales numbers, but it looks like Assassin's Creed also has kind of decent presales as well. I am wondering if the latter might actually end up hitting $300 million WW after all (taking Japan into account). Like Resident Evil, it too will probably be very frontloaded in China. AC will also be very frontloaded but it has a decent shot at 300 mill IMO
Blaze Heatnix
Even if RE ends up being frontloaded, it's still a win, given its small budget ( 40 million ), unlike AC's 125 million budget and even Warcraft's insane 160 million budget. Hell, Resident Evil is a R rated movie, by the way. So far, RE has made 147 million worldwide. It can get to the 200 million figure, which would be 5 times its budget. This is quite amazing for a sixth movie in a franchise.
Mrstickball
Will Resident Evil beat its domestic run in 1 day? Crazy Chinese people keeping popcorn action movies alive... You all are making my wife real happy, as its one of her favorite franchises.

I'm saying 120 mill yuan for now with the chance of more PS have been increasing at 40%~ per day(standard rate) since Friday and is on 40%+ pace today going from 13m last night and pacing to 19m+ tonight. Continuing daily at 40% thru Thur morning and a 75% increase on its last day takes it to 67m Fri 1am. At least 180m OD at 2.75x PS. A few have been >3x PS lately. But once in a while we see presales deepfreeze at the end.. I know im on the low side perhaps, but im just trying to keep things calm before a possible meltdown over a 20 mill$ OD..

That beats a lot of tentpoles.no need for a meltdown.
