Moderation: I'm done giving warnings. People ignore them. After multiple warnings about the DC/Marvel crap and completely ignoring the "Poisoning The Well" policy, some of you will just be banned for 24 hours to a week for your next offense.

Forgive me, but I think it's because you have been lenient. These people just don't know how to follow rules. Ban them for a month.

If it finishes in the $780M range after this weekend, it will be hard for it to even get to $900M WW. I think $850M is where it's going to end up because of the releases that are coming out soon.

At this point Civil War isn't going to have any effect on BvS's legs, because it'll pretty much be done by then anyways.

Bvs number sliding and the realization it's not going to do 2x ow that was obvious for a week

Yeah Batman v Superman is heading for a worldwide finish of about 870m. Which astonishes me as that would be about a 20% decrease on Dark Knight Rises. Its even worse looking at admissions and market expansion.

And it's better looking at ER...

Jesus, only $360K and a $422 for Demolition. Will barely make $1M for the whole weekend. Poor Jake. Also poor Vallee for going from the strong grosses of Dallas Buyers Club ($27M) and Wild ($37M) to...this. Eek.

Maybe because it's the second dead wife movie in two years. Who does Jake think he is - Nolan?

Meh, the movie had mediocre reviews and was banished to early April after premiering at TIFF last fall (that's a long time for a film to sit in the can). It's this year's True Story.

If BVS keeps dropping like that, I expect a final domestic of 325 million and final overseas 550-570 million.

It'll barely make 900 million worldwide. Maybe WB will stop wasting huge budgets and will try to think smaller and smarter.

It's not hitting $900m.  Maybe $870-880m

WB's plan, at least per Hollywood Reporter movies is to focus more on established big tent pole IPs  (DC, Rowling) and reduce the amount of mid budget films.  They had 4 or so big budget losses last year but several other mid budget films that cost them money as well.   BvS isn't as big as they probably hoped but it's still going to make them money (and probably more with merchandising) which is more than one can say for the hundreds of millions of losses racked up from Jupiter Ascending, Pan, Man from Uncle, The Heart Of The Sea and maybe the upcoming King Arthur and Tarzan.
