FD broke animated OD record even when we subtract preview gross. However, the preview-to-OD ratio is quite high. TS3 and IO both grossed on Saturday what they grossed on Friday minus previews. Maybe we can use that as a metric for front-loadedness. For FD: $55 – $9 = $46M

I don't expect Dory's legs will be as good as either of those movies but it's already well on its way to a much bigger total gross than TS3

Zootopia increased 89% over last Friday! That's almost as much as The Jungle Book made on Friday ($374k).  Maybe there were double-features with Dory. Likely over $1 million for the weekend!

Pixar is more front loaded on Fridays than other animated studios due to an older fanbase that rushes out on opening night.
