Mockingjay Raphael
HOLY FUCK! That's a really harsh drop despite playing everywhere but China, it may not even reach $150m OS at all, brutal.

Infact, now I think even 250 WW will be hard. Atrocious wom..surprising cuz I actually dug it. This is a reality check for fox, ridley and alien fans.
Valonqar
Like Terminator franchise, Alien franchise ended with the second movie. There's been nothing else to say after Aliens/T2. The rest is just bad fanfiction and endless retconning.

I don't see how they're going to keep the franchise with the WOM that this movie is receiving, at this pace, the next one may struggle to reach $150m WW, Prometheus already had mixed WOM, but this one is toxic.

Piku-Banerjee
WOM seems to be almost BvS-level bad. Don't think it's reaching $200 million OS. More like $90 million domestic + $175 million OS = $265 million WW.
Mockingjay Raphael
Remember, this one still has yet to bow in China or Japan, which it will do on June 16 and Sept.. 15, respectively. Overall, it has a cume after this weekend of $101M. Its global take is $161.5M.
Mockingjay Raphael
Awful numbers, not even $150m OS is locked, it may not even reach $220m WW. I doubt Fox will see profits from this movie at all. Edited May 28, 2017 by Mockingjay Raphael
PanaMovie
Ridley Scott’s latest instalment in the Alien franchise Alien: Covenant earned $10.8m from 77 markets, taking the international total to $101m. Source: Screen Daily This is bad right? Only big markets left are China and Japan 170M OS??
marveldcfox
I hate to say that I told you this was going to struggle big time. Oh well. This franchise is done. Fox should focus on others. I am calling it now...The Predator will also disappoint big time..not sure it will do even Predators numbers worldwide.

PanaMovie
Winning the weekend in China, Fox’s Alien: Covenant came in at $30.5M in 43 total markets ($30M from the Middle Kingdom). The China start also included $3M on 403 IMAX screens. The Shanghai Interantional Film Festival is about to unspool three previous Alien films in a special sci-fi section, including Ridley Scott’s original, and that could help boost some interest in the current film. However, there have been reports out of the Middle Kingdom of cuts to Covenant and there is not much time ahead of Transformers 5. In all, the international total is now $142.3M with Japan still to come on September 15. Source: Deadline
