Lionsgate bought the DOM rights. It was not theirs to sell to the OS distributors. The movie opened OS in the Spring.

GOTG2 doesn't seem to have much more competition than GOTG had.

I doubt they paid a lot of money for DOM rights though. Based on the marketing, I'd say they probably paid the bare minimum.

The wild life is Belgian i believe. 

 

Also in most territories it is being sold as Robinson crusoe.  I assume there's a copywrite reason this could not happen in the usa. 

 

Cos otherwise why not use a title parents will recognise than one that could mean anything (especially if you aren't promoting it)
