Lucas didnt want to. Then Disney bought the rights so they could make money. This is not complicated.

This isn't particularly fair on many levels. And I'm hardly a fan of the Disney empire's choices when it comes to IP control.

I don't think a movie can be considered a cash grab until it's sole purpose is to milk out everything it's worth with no care for quality or the fans of the series. I don't think it's fair to call all movies cash grabs.
