SchumacherFTW
Why couldn't it have been something worthy of it's hype?!
BK007
It's basically your typical American comedy of toilet humour but instead of CGI critters, annoying kids or irritating men it stars women. Revolutionary!
Gopher
Didn't The Hangover do insane VOD numbers? If so, that's some great news.

rockNrollaDIM
Wow! Go Bridesmaids. I don't care if people think it's over hyped. The cast elevated the material and it was more than just toilet humor. It seems we always forget about rentals/VOD when figuring revenue & profit. How much of a cut of that $40m does Universal get? They really need to push hard to get Wiig back for sequel.
Krissykins
I'm just glad it wasn't some blockbuster sequel that got the record. It's not Harry Potter, Transformers or a superhero film...it's a wedding-chick-flick. I love that.Studio keeps most of the revenue because there arent individual costs associated with renting through the tv.
Noctis
I thought Bridesmaids was decent when I first saw it. My second viewing, I loved it.
Gopher
They really need to push hard to get Wiig back for sequel.Or just don't do one. If Feig, Wiig and McCarthy are all hesitant, what would be the point? Edited February 10, 2012 by Gopher
rockNrollaDIM
I heard the only reason Wiig is not interested is because she was insulted by the low bonus that Universal paid the cast after the film became a mega success.
