This is bombing?

Not the word I would use. It's over-performing the tracking that said 120-140 and it's coming in above Disney's announced expectations. It just might not be quite as huge as some people expected.

Our high school did Beauty and the Beast (tonight's opening night) for our musical and for the first time in forever, we've sold out: ALL 1,400 seats in the auditorium are filled. Usually, the amount of tickets sold is between 1,000-1,100 per night for a total of 7,000-7,700 for the entire week, but this week, we might get to 9,800...

Pre-sales for tomorrow night have also reached 450 out of 450 available pre-sale tickets, too!  Some people went to the live action showing in the movie theater and then came straight to see us perform! :D

Since Disney's releasing Mulan next year, we might as well do Mulan for our musical, it's a damn good, symbiotic business!

I wish Logan was holding better. $220M possible?

Kong is holding very well considering it's a monster movie, $170M is doable.

I see.  Lots of kids in my theater so is this going to have a Saturday jump? It looks like a family thing.

I'm not trying to sound arrogant and it's still too early to really tell but I've had a feeling for a while now thet BatB was going to be more frontloaded than many were expecting and Emma Watson's presence has a lot to do with this. Don't underestimate the amount of Potter fans who are rushing out to see this film just because of her even if they haven't seen the animated version. That being said, I also think its legs post OW are going to be good due to some people avoiding the crowds (and some families of course).
