Bottom 10 of 2016:

  3. Chris Renaud
  4. Michael Bay
  5. Steven Spielberg
  6. Rawson Marshall Thurber
  7. Gareth Edwards
  8. David F Sandberg
  9. Clint Eastwood
  10. Matt Ross

I need to see some a lot more shitty films from last year.

Gareth Edward is not high enough on this list

If there was one movie to which the line "special effects were good, rest was bad" applies then it's 2012.

It takes the cake really.

That whole last hour in China just dragged on

Image result for joke over head

We have to face reality here .

A 2.4x is not bad.

A 2.4-2.7 for Superhero films are actually good as most of them open over 115+.

we can't expect every one to do a 2.8-3x when the bigger they are the harder they fall and that's the case for most of them.

It bored me to tears sadly.

It didn't stay with me long (I'm just now remembering how it ends) but I thought the scenes where the little girl was running around trying not to be found contained some of his previous magic. It still had heart....but yeah a far cry from his previous work and a letdown considering the high hopes I had for it after the first teaser.

Different strokes for different folks again.

Eye in the Sky was pretty solid.  Unfortunately it's one of the last times we got to see Alan Rickman on screen

Eye in the Sky : Manipulative, naive Crap.

It's pretty clear that Spielberg didn't have much to work with. It's definitely his weakest movie this decade.

I don't think the DCEU up to this point had bad WOM or good WOM.  All 3 previous films were divisive. I know people who adore Man of Steel and I'm one of them, it sold very well in home video sales, it had an okay audience rating on RT and it was close to being fresh, more critics gave it fresh than rotten.

Batman v. Superman was somewhat restored by people enjoying the director's cut.  Some still hated but it was again divisive.

Suicide Squad most people seemed to outright hate it but yet it had okay legs at the box office and sold huge on video. Why would that many people buy a film they hated?  I didn't like SS at all but numbers are numbers.
