Ahhhh, The Good old times when the Spiderman movies were bonafide romantic comedies engineered for the Julia Roberts fans crowd and 11 yo girls with a central female character so annoying it would elicit a thousand think pieces today.

Spider-Man has held pretty well on MT compared to other openers, only losing about 1% throughout the day. Could suggest it's playing very strongly relative to presales or that Friday increases are muted.

I'm in theaters to see Spidey, and there was a pre-trailer for Ojka.  However it starts out looking like a hot dog commercial, I lost my shit for about 20 seconds because I thought it was an actual Mirando cooperation that sold hot dogs (and then Tilda Swinston popped on screen and I started breathing).
