Good question: which of this year's Oscar-nominated actors are most likely to return?

For example, I doubt Metcalf is ever gonna be in the conversation again.

My odds based on numbers pulled out of my ass:

Denzel: 100%

Chalamet: 90%

Oldman: 85%

Kaluuya: 70%

DDL: 5% (plz dont leave us)

Streep: 100%

Ronan: 100%

Robbie: 90%

Hawkins: 80%

McDormand: 80%

Rockwell: 95%

Harrelson: 95%

Dafoe: 80%

Jenkins: 65%

Plummer: 45%

Spencer: 100%

Janney: 60%

Manville: 50%

Blige: 45%

Metcalf: 40%

3 noms and she's not even 25 yet. I do think she'll win eventually though unless she starts gravitating more towards popcorn fare.

Like The Host? *shudders*

Next year she has a Chekhov adaptation and is also playing Mary Stuart (with Margot Robbie playing Elizabeth Tudor). One of those is good and she's getting number 4.

If someone told you in 2000 that Hanks wouldn't get another nomination for the next 17 years, you would've laughed and publicly labeled them a freak. Just sayin'.

Denzel took his place as the national treasure who gets nominated even for mostly unloved movies.

It's a shame Hanks didn't make it in this year because he's better than TIGAH and Kaluuya.

He's probably gonna have to really step outside of his comfort zone if he ever hopes to get nominated again. Good American roles in Spielberg and Eastwood movies aren't gonna cut it.
