riczhang
Not sure who Riva is. The 85 year old lady who plays the leading role in Amour, I've been rooting for her to get any awards traction since I saw Hiroshima, mon Amour 3 or 4 years ago. She is like a divinely gifted goddess, second only to Streep.
Blankments
Hugh Jackman will be nominated for sure. Win depends on whether the Academy wants to give DDL another Oscar so soon after his second one.

acsc1312
Doubt Arkin would win a second BSA in only 6 years
CoolioD1
He could've done it if it was a bigger role, but from what I hear about Argo is that he's just there for some funny one-liners. Maybe he could have won if he didn't win for LMS.
Impact
Swank won best lead 5 years later :PI heard he is not in it that much either. But I am just unsure who to say right now.
CoolioD1
Phillip Seymour Hoffman or Tommy Lee Jones have good buzz from their movies, Russell Crowe has a great part for Les Miserables - or if you wanna go with someone who's never won before maybe Leo's great in Django. It's great that there's some competition in this category, for the past few years this one has been an easy call from months ahead.

forg
I love Argo and Arkin but I don't think Arkin's role in the movie is big enough to even warrant a nomination. But still he was the scene stealer and crowd favorite so he's in for a nomination
Impact
They gave Dench a Oscar for a 8 minute role. Someone in the 50s was nominated for a 2 minute long role!!!!

riczhang
Your bias is clouding your predictions. The only thing wrong with my predictions is that Riva is #2 instead of 3-4 where whe probably realistically is right now.
