riczhang
I love Oldman and all, but in the movie he's kinda just there, not very memorable.

Impact
Well it be nice to see Davy Jones nominated
CoolioD1
I really can't remember Bill Nighy doing anything impressive in that film, it probably won't get a nomination in this category, but I would've thought Tom Wilkinson would've been more likely considering he has a more emotional storyline and is generally better in it.Anyway, my predictionRussell Crowe - Les MiserablesLeonardo DiCaprio - Django UnchainedDwight Henry - Beasts of the Southern WildPhillip Seymour Hoffman - The MasterTommy Lee Jones - Lincoln
Impact
Earliest predictions:Leonardo DiCaprio for DjangoGary Oldman for LawlessJohnny Cash I mean Joaquin Pheonix for The MasterChris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Cooper, Chris Pine for whatever Yeah I had Pheonix for The Master-but that was because I had no clue he was the lead I thought Hoffman was. CoolioD1
They're both leads, but I think Hoffman is the one who's going to get dumped in supporting because that's just the way it goes....
Impact
Well others had him in supporting so yeah

Impact
Hal Holbrook would probably win if nominated. Which he would set the oldest ever and be the last person to win a Oscar before the first Oscars.
Impact
Chris Tucker should be nominated! No I have not seen it, but just saying.
Impact
Current: Alan Arkin for ArgoRuselle Crowe for Les M.Robert DeNiro for Silver LiningsLeonardo DiCaprio for DjangoPhilip Seymore Hoffman for The MasterIf Hal Holbrook is nominated, I believe that will make him the oldest nomination ever. Not sure if he is older or younger then Gloria Stuart though. (He was born in 1925). He would be likely to win then as the Acadmey loves giving this Oscar to old guys. CoolioD1
^Agree with Impact's five. Though I feel like I should throw at least one first-time nominee in there somewhere...

Jake Gittes
Other possibilities:William H. Macy in The SessionsJim Broadbent in Cloud AtlasChristopher Walken in A Late Quartetpretty much anyone from LincolnDi Caprio, Hoffman and Crowe definitely look like the most likely nominees (Hoffman is basically a lock at this point) and I'd be delighted if De Niro got in there.Edit: oh, and can't forget Dwight Henry in Beasts. Impact
You know-DeNiro has not been nominated in over 20 years!
Jake Gittes
You know-DeNiro has not been nominated in over 20 years!Yep. Kinda unbelievable even despite the lowered quality of his movies and performances in 2000's.
acsc1312
I like that there's not really a clear winner yet in the supporting category. Yes, PSH is at the top, but not overwhelmingly like the last couple years.
