Ice Age: Continental Drift OS Thread ($624M)

Recommended Posts

there are rumors it won't be released - too expensive, not worth the pain

Makes sense I guess after IA3 completely flopped in Japan, so why should they bother when Japan does not like the Ice Age franchise.Still IA4 is doing just fine without Japan! B) Edited by JCS

I think it'll beat the $690m OS total but the WW will fall short due to the lackluster Domestic numbers,

Hope it beats IA3 OS, that would be amazing. But I can see it running out of steam at around $675M OS so not quite beating IA3.I bet they still make IA5 as a final one as it makes so much OS, Domestic hardly matters. Though they should end the franchise here and move on to a new project. Edited by JCS

That was the time when japanese people were smart enough to avoid films like the ice age series, but now they are starting to like these repetitive franchises (madagascar)However, I dont blame them at all, Mad 3 was a nice flick, better than its prequels, on the other hand IA4 was the same fuc*** thing I've seen before,,,,, sorry for the fans, but I'm tired of these films

Actually beating IA3 OS is not only possible ATM, but also likely.

Being optimistic and I hope you are right! Come on IA4!

Perhaps, but not worth the release I guess. Still, it is already a monster OS, so Japan is not needed.

I hope they finish the franchise off with an amazing installment, where our beloved herd has to interact once again with humans.

I think the trio meeting up with the now grown up Rosham from the first film would be a great way to end the franchise although they'd need find a way to make him interact with the trio as he didn't talk in the first film.

20th Century Fox reports that Ice Age: Continental Drift banked an estimated $10.1 million from 7,055 screens in 58 markets this weekend. The total international gross for the flick is now $647.3 million, with the worldwide gross estimated at $797 million through Sunday.

WOW 670-675 end from current markets?

Why is the OS total for IA4 on BOM always behind by like $3M every weekend...exchange rates I guess? They should just use the numbers they are given by Rentrak/studio though! It is only $644.2 for example on BOM now.
