    [*]Turning to The Amazing Spider-Man, the superhero reboot stands at $521m worldwide and brought in a further $6m in the UK from 911 in the second weekend for $29.5m and added $5.2m in Mexico from 2,395 for $19.6m and $4.9m in Brazil from 906 for $17.5m.

Elsewhere the webslinger added $4.8m in South Korea from 645 for $32.2m after three sessions, $3.9m in France from 798 for $13.9m after two, $3.8m in Australia from 581 for $14.1m after two and $3.1m in Japan from 1,087 for $27.5m after three.

Haters keep bringing up the re-worked origin hoping it will overshadow the fact that ASM is heading towards the second highest Spider-man gross WW despite being a divisive reboot.lol! Good luck with that.

It's not over yet. TASM can still beat SM3 WW. Just needs to breakout in China(100M). :) :) :)

So that (66.6M) is about 50% drop from last weekend's 129M.

The weekend figure was 127.5M. Out of that around 16M was due to extended weekends. So for the 'weekend periods' only, the gross was 112M or so.The new openers would have likely contributed in the neighborhood of $3 million. So the gross from holdovers was more than $63M.So the drop was around 43%.

I'm seriously underwhelmed with OS grosses for Spidey. 600M no longer looks assured. It might struggle to top SM3 OS total, even if it does break out in China, which seems less and less likely at this point.This franchise is clearly in a downward spiral, and I can see the sequel actually dropping from TASM.

That should be Casino Royale not Quantum of Solace.
