95-100M is the most annoying range a movie can land in.

at ~96.5 rampage will hit 2.7x multi. damn sweet for a video game movie with hit it took against aiw. tr did 2.43x, similar to need for speed's 2.44x.

Interesting. why so low. I don't believe in @That One Guy's 60M prediction either, but 33M seems too low

I Think 60 is more likely than 33M.

It’s kinda of a joke that I go to a lot of movies, so everyone I know always uses it as their go-to small talk. All the women I have talked to in the past two weeks has brought this movie up to me, unprompted. This and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!

More importantly it did over $400M WW off of a $120M budget. Really impressive imo especially since IW was right around the corner for it.

Mamma Mia 2 will do under 30M imo. That smells like a flop to me

I know the estimated admissions on BOM are very wonky, but this here is just so damn impressive to look at:

1 Black Panther BV 76,324,200 4,084 22,052,800 4,020 2/16 -
2 Avengers: Infinity War BV 70,182,300 4,474 28,133,000 4,474 4/27 -

Two movies from the same franchise in the span of 4 months doing THAT is mind-boggling.

These two are going over 150M estimated tickets in a single half year :jeb!:

It lucked out with AIW being delayed a couple of weeks China - where it made most almost half it's O/S $ during that month.

BP getting there. last 3 weekends:

2018/05/18 13 $860,442 -59% 935 $920   $697,822,227 14
2018/05/25 14 $481,106 -44% 440 $1,093   $698,617,348 15
2018/06/01 - $247,000 -49% 284 $870   $699,129,949 16

it can get to 700 even without the dollar bump really as the weekend charts will hide what the big amounts mon-thu will bring in but ~669.75 before the dollar bump pushes it over 700 seems likely.

Soooo close.

It's been trending in the top 10 for movies on twitter for awhile - far more than movies being released before it.

Still, the first opened under $30m - didn't hurt it much.

Book Club's hold next week is going to be interesting. Its Friday hold was 10% worse than last week, and Ocean's 8 is direct competition. I won't be surprised if the drop if 45% or more

I don't see it dropping more than 35%. The demographics are still different.

                  BlackPanther

Domestic:

$699,129,949

I reckon Disney will stop tracking at like 699,98M just to fuck with this forum because we are constantly making fun of Solo.
