kayumanggi
Did Disney confirm Tron 3 at their stockholders meeting? This what THR has to say. Walt Disney Pictures has attached Joseph Kosinski to direct Tron 3, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Wednesday. Disney is understood to be eyeing a fall 2015 start of production for the follow-up to Tron: Legacy, which has not yet been officially greenlighted. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/joseph-kosinski-direct-disneys-tron-780790

DAJK
Would this even stand a chance against Avatar in 2017? Or might Avatar get pushed once again to 2018?
Asyulus
December is kinda a bad release date, because of Avatar competition.
DAJK
What about an October release? Gravity did well, ad it was a big effects spectacle.

BadAtGender
Don't worry, Henry Jackman will do a good job of copying them if Daft Punk don't come back. It'll likely be Joseph Trapanese if Daft Punk doesn't return. He worked with them on Legacy and did the score for Uprising, so he can emulate them well enough. mahnamahna
Would this even stand a chance against Avatar in 2017? Or might Avatar get pushed once again to 2018? I don't even think Avatar 2-4 is actually happening at this point... Cameron keeps pushing it back. Either TRON 3 or Star Wars Episode VIII will take the December 2017 spot. Maybe even Disney's new Little Mermaid live-action remake? Disney really is becoming quite dominant. They may be the highest grossing studio for 10-15 yrs in a row. Jonwo
I'd say December is more likely since March 2017 is Beauty and the Beast, May is Guardians 2 and Star Wars, June is Toy Story 4, July is Pirates 5 and November is Thor 3 and the second Pixar film. The other possible months are August and October but out of those two, August seems more likely
