Just a heads up @Rorschach I did have the R rating cut into the overseas numbers a bit, since I wonder if it got banned in a lot of countries for its strong violence (including China), hence it just missing $1B OS.

Couldn't stuff like that be edited around though? I know the UK sometimes does that.

It can, but good luck editing those last 40 minutes. :hahaha:

If the gore is done through practical effects that would be next to impossible to edit out, I agree.

Spoiler

Most of the violence in TSW2 is going to happen to CG characters so that can be much more easily tweaked with.

Highest domestically and second highest worldwide for the GameVerse. Also the second worst received. I do think Skylanders if good can do a respectable $300M/$800M for Y6.

I don't think you should be expecting Skylanders to double the numbers of any of the previous films if they haven't been strongly received prior.

To be fair Blankments DCU films grossed about the same box office wise (critically I don’t know for sure as I haven’t checked) and Justice League did $400M+/$1B+

they were hit and miss critically, they were generally in that 60-70% BO range and people liked Justice League more than the average one

Teen Titans was the only real hit back then critically

i stick by that my DCEU was a lot more interesting than the real one. Not only were the movies generally better, having to make a DC universe without Batman or Superman was a legitimately cool challenge

Oh, I wasn't criticizing your stuff. Haven't read it.

I was criticizing the idea that Skylanders is gonna make $300 million :P

I gotcha. Just wanted to take a moment to experience the nostalgia of 2.0 :)

I do not think Skylanders would significantly increase either

I mean I have the top two highest grossing non Ducktales animated films in CAYOM as well as the biggest stop motion film in CAYOM for now. I’d like to think the Endless Animation brand barring GameVerse is somewhat the CAYOM animation counterpart of Dreamworks Animation/Illumination. If Skylanders is at least better than the rest of the GameVerse movies it’s not impossible especially using the DC comparison. Realistically I’d settle for BH6 numbers.
