Fancyarcher
Not in November December time Movies can still have pretty significant drops though (The Hobbit and the Twilight films for example). It’s true that movies tend to have better legs around that season though, because people aren't working or in school because of the holidays. Gopher
This is the best move for the film. Pixar has a lot of know-how and direction, they just need time to reconfigure/retinker the film.
Ladybug
As saddening as it is to see that there's no Pixar film out year, a smart decision was made here. I was just thinking the other day how much this movie would be hurt if released in May with the state of the production problems now... lab276
What's new Pixar? What's new? I still love you.Be happy! Instead of rushing with TGD and releasing only a good film, they've decided to take their time and release the best film ever.
kayumanggi
Be happy! Instead of rushing with TGD and releasing only a good film, they've decided to take their time and release the best film ever. I'll be sad next year though. Luckily, we still have HTTYD ll. And I don't want this to compete with INSIDE OUT.

Chewy
Ok, forgot Planes. But it is a comparatively minor release Feel like this move opens the door for HTTYD to win the summer

But it is a comparatively minor release Feel like this move opens the door for HTTYD to win the summer UP greatly benefited from lack of competition in 2009 since MONSTERS VS ALIENS had moved to March. Blankments
Well, now I have more confidence in this being quality a la Ratatouille and Monsters U's with their director switches. HTTYD2 will be huge next summer too now
kayumanggi
I'm now rooting for HTTYD ll to win summer 2014.

No heavy competition should do wonders for it.
Empire
Sucks that it got delayed and that there will be no Pixar movie next year. With that said, this is a smart move and I am glad Pixar/Disney did it. It alows the movie to be a great as it can be instead of being rushed. I would rather have to wait for a great movie, than to not wait and have it be subpar or even just good. So, with the longer wait, I am now even more excited for TGD as I expect Pixar to make sure it is a great movie by the time it is released.
