goldenstate5
This trailer made me feel really really good...I'm going to love this movie to death. (sees Jurassic World avatar) Yup, it's right in your wheelhouse. Anyways, I was surprised with this trailer. They had jokes! Humor! Kids movie haha moments! Seriously though I'm sure it'll be a good movie, and definitely gorgeous, but a great movie? I'm still uncertain. We'll have to see next month, I guess. And here comes the RT rating predictions... (put me down for 92%)
Mojoguy
I'm just not feeling the character designs, and putting them against such realistic backgrounds. Also I prefer animated movies with human leads over talking animals. Maybe I'll be more enthusiastic when the good reviews start coming in? AniNate
Just one, and it didn't feel out of place. You'd expect there to be a communication hiccup between an old rancher and a sheltered child. For some reason I really loved Ochoa's delivery of that "What?!" I'll spoil it for you: there's no young female 18-year-old protagonist. Sorry to inform you.

MovieMan89
I like everything except Spot so far. Both his design and character are already annoying me.
AniNate
At least he's better than the original design I want to punch that just looking at it Edited October 6, 2015 by tribefan695
MovieMan89
At least he's better than the original design I want to punch that just looking at it Oh dear god. How on earth was that a character made by Pixar? Looks like it belongs in the seventh hell of the Circle 7 Animation studio that never happened. AniNate
In fairness to them, all their movies suck at some point. This one just had the misfortune of having its disposed marketing materials leaked. Edited October 6, 2015 by tribefan695
Mojoguy
What's with the generic Spot name when we have a unique sounding Arlo for the lead dinosaur?
AniNate
A "spotter" is a person who keeps watch, or protects others from harm. Don't know if that's official, but it's how I prefer to think they came up with it Edited October 6, 2015 by tribefan695
CoolioD1
honestly I think it's just spot is a common dog name and they're leaning into the human as pet thing.
AniNate
There are many common dog names, though. I'd like to think there was something else that pushed them toward Spot

AniNate
Remember when we all thought Lil' Wayne was going to be in this movie? Ah, yes... Though I do find it interesting how they've cast Arlo's family with multi racial VAs. Arlo's Latino, his dad and brother are black, and his mom is white Edited October 6, 2015 by tribefan695
Mango
Looks good. It does look a bit "meh" aside from the animation but Pixar trailers usually don't do the film's themselves justice. I thought Inside Out looked a bit odd at first too and that ended up great.
