Fear not next weekend will be WAY up from last year :DStill very good for 21 Jump Street. Just because the weekend is down doesn't mean that film didn't perform very well.

NCAA tournament continues next week so that may have a little bit of effect too.

All that matters is it opened to 34m on a 45m budget. Good WOM will take it over 100m.

Yeah, Bridesmaids had a 26M OW and it made 169M. 21 won't do as much, but I could easily make over 110M

A big film always badly affect others, irrespective of demo. So there will be significant effect on 21JS (maybe around 5% steeper drop). Since it will need 3x multiplier to reach 100M, that 5% may prove to be a bit too big.

Reminds me of the Spanish who wanted to throw things at the screen playing Alatriste because of Viggo Mortensens bad Spanish. They retaliated by naming him the worst actor of that year. And the movie bombed. So Hollywood should stop stealing roles form locals since they obviously can`t do better. It`s all huge ego trip and nothing more. Edited March 18, 2012 by fishnets
