Yes no doubt, this is the biggest film of all time at the box office. And yes SW7 was maybe a bad example but what I wanted to say is that the 22M admissions in France have been 25 years and the record still belongs to Titanic (even if a French film was close to the record in 2008).

 

As with DS in Japan, I don't know if this record will ever be broken and I don't even think I'll see it in my lifetime. Nowadays, every year it's more and more difficult to have films with only 10M admissions in France (We have had 2 with SW7 and TLK in the last 10 years) so a film with 22M admissions we will probably never see that again.

 

Even Avatar 2 I'm not even sure it can exceed 10 million admissions here despite the 14.8M admits of the first.

Titanic had 19M approx admits in India. Back then we had very little English speaking population, and Hollywood was obscure. Jurassic Park which is more box office friendly could only do 10M+, that too with a dub version. While Titanic initial release was only in English.

 

Now I don't know if its even possible, but considering the growth in English speaking population, and Hollywood becoming more mainstream, may be it would have done 30M admits in India. 

 

However like Avatar only had 8-9M admits so donno if it is even possible for Hollywood film to go that high. Back in 90s people watched more movies. Endgame had 21.5M admits here.

Demon Slayer Admits in Japan is 29,234,698 (still counting because this numbers doesn't include recent 4DX releases). In future, it may pass 30M but, declining population can easily increase it's % share......

I totally argee Titanic is the biggest miracle in the movie history ever,it break box office record everywhere,No movie before or after Titanic can do that，most of blockbuster have their own short region.

For exmple,Jaws in South korea is even lower than same year James bond film"The spy who loved me" ,not even hit top 3 of all time in South Korea,in HongKong Jaws is lower than "The Towering info",only a little bit higher than "The spy who loved me" in HongKong,and Jaws not beat the record in many Europea countries like Finland ,Sweden.....etc 

E.T is dead in Singapore(E.T doing really bad in Singapore,not even hit top 10 of the 1982 ,let alone all-time list,that's really weird,I don't know why)

STAR WARS (1977) is dead in all Asia and Latin countries at that time

Jurassic Park only top 3 of the year in France,and top 5 of the year in Uruguay,let alone all-time list.

Endgame is dead in Japan and not doing good in many Europea countries.

Only Titanic is all-time Blockbuster everywhere.

If we got a movie which perfoemance same as Titanic,this movie will gross over $5B worldwide,imagine a movie today gross $1.5B in China,$1.2B in DOM,$300M in Japan,$150m in Southeast asia region,$130m in South korea,$80m in India,$300m in South America,Brzail and Mexico all cross 100m,and gross $1.5B in Europea,that's how crazy Titanic doing back in 1998

Yeah, now it seems we go to an uncertain territory and maybe we won´t see this number again. I feel happy for can follow "live" Titanic´s run, i didn´t know nothing about box office websites and in the begining i had only a spanish monthly magazine which gave numbers each 4 weeks, and after 8th week i discovered in a Fnac shop in Madrid the magazine Variety, that offered weekly numbers, and since then i went every week to the fnac to see the numbers in Variety, was something funny and kind of romantic for me to go there every week to the city centre, just to follow Titanic box office in that magazine that i didn´t buy, cause was really expensive, but i read it there for free.
I think this is such an story to tell to the new generations of box offive lovers, don´t you think so?

Maybe something around 68M-68,5M after Monday, then maybe 4M more at the end of the run

I saw your amazing document about the gross and the number of tickets sold by some of the biggest movies of all time (Link), but I have a doubt about some data

 

For Lord of the Rings 3 you have 4 million admissions in Italy (which is correct) but also a gross of $36 million, which I'm pretty sure it's overestimated. It grossed about €23M and the exchange rate of the time put it at max at $30M

I took the gross from Mojo which has it at $36M manually entered. Now that I checked in detail, the weekly grosses are around $29M. Will check around.
