Heretic
You really think the weather will play that big a role in its OW? What are you predicting its OW will be if 1.5m could easily be taken off because of something like the weather? Easily. This is the first hot weather of the year. No one will want to go to the cinema. That's if it holds up though...
Heretic
LOL, 'BBQ' is trending on twitter in the UK...
lab276
I think the weather affecting the box office thing is a foreign concept in Australia since we, at least in Sydney, get pretty good weather throughout the year. I've never actually noticed it affect the box office.

The first sunny weekend of the summer is always a depressed weekend here. If it does stay nice, i'd say £4m would probably be the cap. SchumacherFTW
We're a weird country. Why do you think we keep Wales?
Robertron
Yeah, it affected PoP, but StreetDance opened well...StreetDance, however, was a local film.
Jonwo
I think Men in Black 3 wil be fine, I still see a £4m OW which is decent but not great. I wonder if people will hold out until the four day bank holiday to see the likes of Prometheus, Snow White and MIB3.
BadDevil
I wonder what impact the queens jubilee will have on films over the bank holiday period, can't see many people going to the cinemas on Tuesday, unless they're trying to escape all the jubilee craziness, lol. Heretic
It's a big holiday weekend so it'll probably boost BO overall, but one or two days may be down...It;s 28 degrees today... And 30 degrees could be hit tomorrow. Hottest may day for 20 years. No ones going to the cinema. Edited May 23, 2012 by Heretic
The Dark Alfred
Watched AA in Vue Extreme. Don't bother go there, such a ripoff. The screen isn't that huge at all.
Krissykins
Just to let people know, here in Scotland it was 30degrees yesterday.Today it's 28. Sat-Mon have to be mid-20's.This will affect BO. A lot!
Jonwo
I think MIB3's boxoffice will be affected by the weather this week but I can see it having good legs given its the only family friendly film out for another month, Prometheus and Snow White should do well next well although Prometheus will edge due to it being 3D. SchumacherFTW
If deadline's weekend article is accurate, MIB3 did $5m here at the weekend. Under my cap of £4m. That's gotta be blamed on the weather, £5.5m+ should have been easy otherwise.
Heretic
That's pretty awful. It's cooling down this week so BO should return to normal soon.
SchumacherFTW
It's actually quite pleasant here in Hastings today, still warm but there's a nice cool breeze occasionally too.
Darth Homer
So where does everyone think Avengers will end up on the all-time UK box office chart? I'm hoping it can get to at least 52 million pounds (which should be good for #15 all-time, I believe). Pretty amazing considering superhero movies are a lot less popular in the UK than the US. Dark Knight "only" did 49.1 million by comparison.
