fmpro
Yeah i heard that Disney cut back on 35mm copies due to cost (very long film means it costs more to print)Nice little info to know..
The Dark Alfred
Great start for WH, it should remain #1 with ease, none of next weekend's openers can challenge it.Predictions:Haywire (5-day) £1.6Underworld £1.2The Sitter £0.6J. Edgar £0.5Coriolanus £0.4The Artist should increase, TIL, SH, MI4 trio just under £1 Edited January 17, 2012 by The Dark Alfred
Jonwo
Sherlock Holmes should at least match the first film's total by next week, it's done incredible business as have Mission Impossible which will total at £17-18m which is higher than the third film. TGWTDT is doing good, should hit £10m by tomorrow or Wednesday and £12m total.Half term should be interesting, not as many family films compared to last year. SchumacherFTW
The screen count i'm guessing is piss poor due to Underworld and Haywire, as well as The Artist's expansion i'm guessing. My local 6 Screen Cineworld's getting The Artist on friday, so i'll hopefully see it over the weekend.

Krissykins
Or it could be RT scores .... 97% for the Artist vs 42% J. Edgar.
CJohn
Why would Haywire do so much in the UK?
fmpro
I was thinking the same thing
The Dark Alfred
It's having a 5-day opening, that's why I have it over Underworld. It also has a few British actors in it.
PhilipJ2001
War Horse has had a tiny drop at my cinema. Like 7% or something.
Heretic
That's great. Looks like it could have a very lengthy run. I'd say £20m is definitely in play.
Jonwo
I think War Horse will be number 1 again this week and perhaps next week unless The Descendants breaks out although I think TD will do decent business especially as it's winning awards. CJohn
The Descendants is having huge openings in Portugal and, I think, Spain (no numbers yet, but it is in a surprising 1st place).
