Heretic
Seen a couple of sellouts for Get Out too. Vue Westfield already has 2 shows that are virtually sold out tonight. Should have a strong opening. It's limited to smaller screens due to Beauty and the Beast, but it'll likely have a sustained run like in the US as WOM spreads. Heretic
Daytime business is looking very good for Beast, impressive considering schools and work are in. Lots of sell-outs this evening.
Heretic
@Rth and the Beast any numbers? Surely it's above £4m OD.

Heretic
Damn! That's more than double TJB. Its Saturday increase probably won't be as crazy as that, but maybe it can reach £6m today. Seems like £15m may actually happen, and it may beat Fantastic Beasts' £15.3m. Incredible! Minimum I can see it doing is £14m if it only has a small bump today due to front loading. Even a 20% bump gets it to £5.6m for Saturday. Heretic
Okay so I've had a look around and BatB is doing insane business today. I'm sure cineworld Crawley will be somewhere in the top 10 locations or even top 5. It's sold out all 2D shows until 10 o'clock this evening, and we're just approaching midday. Cineworld Basildon has sold out in 2D till 9pm. Will be be interesting to see which locations are top this weekend. Doubt BFI gets close even though it's basically sold out all weekend, but the usual suspects i.e. Westfield London and probably Stratford should be there. Sheffield Cineworld probably will be too, it's sold out 10 shows already today. Odeon Leicester Square might get number 1 spot, especially if it's coupled up with Cineworld Leicester Square opposite. PhilipJ2001
When was the last time that happened at your cinema? It's pretty unprecedented for us to be honest.. even things like Spectre we had seats left for the early shows
Heretic
$6.1m official Friday for BatB. That's around £4.9m. Who knows how high it could go today, but I think it'll top £6m for sure, and in the best case scenario, it could hit £7m like Jurassic World, which would be one of the biggest Saturdays ever. It's looking at an opening easily in the top 10 of all time, probably number 6 or 7. Edited March 18, 2017 by Heretic

Heretic
Emma was also just a supporting member in Noah. If there's any actress that can make people flock to cinemas in the UK, it's her. She is this country's darling.
PhilipJ2001
Gutted that we've been limited by capacity this weekend Could've probably taken another 50% again easily.

Jonwo
Beauty and the Beast is just brilliant, it's no surprise it's doing so well. I suspect it'll be the highest opening weekend of the year until Star Wars The Last Jedi as I doubt any other release will come close.
