They probably would've liked to bring Helen Hunt back if they could, but based on stuff that's gotten to the press there's a lot of ice between her and the studios regarding this franchise

Summer4 of 96 also had the first MIssion Impossible movie open.

The tornadoes look cool and all but the characters are already annoying me.

The "You  don't need a PHd and Fancy Science" line really turned me off, since we have too much of that in the world already.

This will be an all-time head-scratching move if they do not have a clear connection to the original film. It is actually pretty late in the process for them to announce it too, its starting to feel weird.

Strange of them to market it exclusively to mid-west truckers named Billy Bob.

Nice stereotype of Peopple who like Country Music.

Well given it takes place in Oklahoma it is what you would expect..........

I mean even by typical movie soundtrack standards this is 31 songs which presumably average about 3 minutes in length. That's over 90 minutes.

I assume some of these are just "inspired by" the movie though and not actually in it.

Doesn’t exactly scream “blockbuster soundtrack” though does it.

Also, it was a joke, and for the record I like country.

Feel like this movie is going to be a "vibe" level thing. If it is good, yeah this is the summer break out blow up. If only Syndey Sweeney was in the lead, as Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton's daughter...

They’re obviously targeting conservative audiences and middle America with the soundtrack too then. Hopefully the show up at the cinemas though.

Even though I couldn’t be further from those groups, I’m still excited to see this.
