DAJK
I think y’all are assuming too much that Batman/summer 2022 box office depends on the Russian market or something like that.

dudalb
DIsney just announced it is cancelling all threatircal film releases in Russia until further notice. It's a good bet other studios will follow. I think Russian box office was going to collapse just because the Russian economy is falling apart, but this is the nail in the coffin.

The dude loves to hear himself talk and will go on and on and on about the same topic in 12 other threads. I'm not sure why he does this, since it's something that everybody is sick of, but whatever.
ViktorLosAngeles
These are my predictions for entire 2022: 1. “Avatar 2 “ - 675 million $ 2. “Jurassic World:Dominion” - 435 million $ 3. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” - 400 million $ 4. "Lightyear" -365 million $ 5. "Thor: Love and Thunder" - 360 million $ 6. “The Batman” - 330 million $ 7. "Doctor Strange 2" - 320 million$ 8. "Minions 2" - 230 million $ 9. “Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse” - 215 million $ 10. “Fantastic Beasts 3” - 180 million $ 11. “DC League of Super Pets” - 155 million 12. “Sonic 2” - 135 million $ 13. "Shazam 2" - 135 million $ 14. "Nope" - 135 million $ 15. "Morbius" -130 million $ 16. “Top Gun:Maverick” - 130 million $ 17. "Uncharted" - 125 million $ 18. “Mario” - 120 million $ 19. "Puss in the Boots 2" - 110 million $ 21. “Elvis” - 105 million $ 22. "Bullet Train" - 100 million $ 23. "Halloween Ends" - 100 million $ (it's the last part of the trilogy and Blumhouse will do a hell of a marketing) 24. "Creed 3" - 90-100 million $ - If nothing else moves to 2023, and something else big budget emerges, these should be all the films that will cross 100$ million domestically. - I can see "Minions 2" loosing some steam and ending up under 200 million $, and "Puss in the Boots 2", "Mario" and even "Top Gun 2"* could all under perform and get stuck in 85-95 million $ club. "Bullet Train" and "Creed 3" are going to reach 100 million $ if the audience really likes them. "Creed 3" may loose the Christmas boost due to "Avatar 2". * Is there a real hype for "Top Gun: Maverick" or are we expecting it to be a hit based on Cruise's star power and the popularity of the first one? It can go either way, me thinks. Edited March 10, 2022 by ViktorLosAngeles 1

dudalb
I can't help but think the high inflation will effect overall boxoffice. People are just going to have less to spend on entertainment.

Zero marketing at this point (with less than 4 months to release date).
