concerning DM4/IO2:

I think both family releases will be able to co-exist just fine; there's little else playing really wide so there's a looot of available screens.

I think Thursday final should hit 40K easily. That should be ~250K OD. 1M+ weekend shall happen though Euro Cup matches may have some impact.

We won't get a trend today (but tomorrow).

Due to the football match (with extra time) it was the worst Friday of the year according to insidekino.de.

But now the biggest problems with the EM should be over.

 

It's mixed weather-wise (sunshine where I live) at the moment but the afternoon/evening will become worse in most regions. Tomorrow is also predicted to become pretty bad (almost) everywhere - cold and rainy. Maybe that can limit the damage.

Not a good weekend once more (thanks mostly to football); Hit Man was the best opener on #4 but with a pitiable PTA while Kinds of Kindness had a better PTA but few screens. Inside Out 2 continued its fine run with a very decent hold (helped by rain) despite the strong Sunday previews of Despicable Me 4.

In Austria, similar ranking but everything a bit to a lot higher (IO2 62k, already past 350k total; BB4 11k and at 118k total) - Hit Man opened with about double of Germany's PTA (6,3k admissions). Well, Austria was already out of the Euro'24 so that's probably the main difference. The DM4 previews were also higher, 25,4k!

Next weekend: The last weekend overshadowed by the Euro'24, so little hope for evening fare but a strong weekend for family releases with the official OW of Despicable Me 4 - after those Sunday previews, there's little doubt it will become the new #1, but as I mentioned, there's room enough for two strong family releases. Also opening: Fly Me to the Moon, with an outside chance of making #3.

Yeah it is, final should be ~4.2m admits, lower than the 4.5m it was looking like at the end of the last weekend

Expect it everywhere else where DM4 releases this weekend. Both skew pretty much same demographics.

Germany seems to be an outlier though, IO2 managed to hold excellently in most other countries.

Despicable Me 4 would - if this number holds - start almost in line with expectations.

This is much better than Minion 2 isn't it? I remember Minion2 had quite a disappointing opening in 2022.

If the estimates holds , it's the 5th biggest start Illumination movie
