I read that ppl didn't like the movie because it has too many unlikable characters (Joy's family), are these ppl crazy?? Who the hell don't have annoying persons in a family?! What the hell they expected the movie to show? Perfect persons? It only made Joy's character even more admirable. Everything worked so well, the acting is great, the movie pace never get slow, it has comedy and drama in the right time, and they all work, I don't even need to talk about the message, the message gives FAITH, faith to fight against all and everything, even if the world is falling in your shoulders, Joy showed us that with faith, everything is possible, even if the world tell us that it's impossible, another thing that I loved was the soundtrack, every song fit so well in the movie. What more can I say about the movie? Oh, this interesting actress of course, after this movie, I'm sure, JLaw is not a human, she's a force of nature, she IS the movie, how the hell can a person hate this woman? She's the definition of the word charisma, I almost screamed of happiness when things started going right for Joy, I cried when everything went wrong, how many actress does have this kind of impact these days? To make ppl have this kind of connection with the character? I can only think in one, it's her best work so far, and it means a lot, since she has a career of iconic characters, but we didn't see her acting in any moments, she is Joy, she owned the movie, best movie of by far. After watching this movie, I'm in Joy. JLAW, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH JLo is one of them

JohnnY
I hope my local theater will still be showing Joy in February. I wanna watch it, but I'm gonna watch Carol on Tuesday and TFA on Wednesday (first time). I can't watch it on Monday because I have an exam and I refuse to go to the movies on the weekend because it's too expensive. If I'm not mistaken, the last time I went to the movies on a weekend was in 2011 in order to see Deathly hallows pt2 on the opening day lol I can watch movies for R$3,00 on Monday, I'm not gonna pay R$9,00 for the weekend ticket. Cinepolis basically monopolizes the market here, they have 3 complex (one for poor persons, that's the one that I'm talking about, another one for medium class, and the one for rich ppl, basically, every room there is VIP), the rest of cinemas here is: Cinemark, Kinoplex, Playarte, UCI and Cinema Araujo IDK if you have this in your city, but here, cinemas always increase the price during the vacations, and then, go back to normal after this, I don't have problems since I don't pay for tickets, but my friends don't like going to cinema during December/January because of this

Well, most people are on holidays, I'm studying because we need to make up for all the classes we missed when the university was on a strike.

Napoleon
Watched Joy today and it was so disappointing. There was some scenes so embarrassingly bad. The story is great, though. I even cried.
