chrisman0606
Although it will have the large formats, IMAX etc. what it will lack is 3-D which is gonna make it even harder.

What the hell happened? With such a number of screens you can forget it : it's not likely to compete with previous X-Men movies, a miracle would be needed... That's weird and it makes very little sense. Where did you get this information? I'd like to check it out. My local movie theater is treating it as a normal blockbuster though, with a big preview Wednesday with 4 shows and with 6 shows everyday since, which is pretty standard big blockbuster numbers over here...

Good point, I wasn't even thinking about 3D, given 3D screens are really widepread in Brazil that's not a good idea, maybe that's the explanation for this low number of screens. Fullbuster
FilmeB finally updated last weekend's numbers, 4 days late FIFTY SHADES DARKER reached R$57m, Fifty Shades of Grey grossed R$87m in 2015 so it's still pretty far away, I see it reaching R$65m or so, a decline around 25%. That could have been worse.

Napoleon
This number of screens doesn't make sense. What if it's a typo and they meant 1,413?

Fullbuster
Some Brazilian BO observers think Logan could beat all X-Men movies during its Opening Weekend. I'm eager to see that

Fullbuster
LOGAN got limited previews 2 days ago, it grossed R$2.4m and got 172,000 admissions. Given the previews were limited that's quite strong.

I can't tell you if Brazilians really love it or not but most screens are 3D screens in Brazil so there is probably a demand for that. Fullbuster
LOGAN grossed R$6.3m with previews + opening day. With that I expected to be fairly close to X-Men Apocalypse when it comes to the 4-day OW. That's an excellent start, and that also means it will beat XMA in USD thanks to a better exchange rate.
