I'd say it goes around Wakanda Forever. Would be nearly 3x from AM&TW.

Another great weekend for PiB2; once again beats Way of Water's previous record. Potentially a sub-30% drop. 

 

The Way of Water is now starting to lose steam but still finishing close to $1.1B and within the $55M-$56M range.

This is such a funny circumstance. You’ve got all these weekend records that have stood for years and years, and then the 3rd highest WW grossing movie comes and knocks them down.   
 

And then 7 days later they get broken again by some random aniamtwd cat sequel

Puss in Boots 2 now at a whopping 7x legs from opening weekend. At the end will basically pull what original Avatar pulled back in 2009-2010 with quite similar numbers lol unfortunately a worse ER.

I think Chile is the exception. Is still behind TS4 and afterwards Coco weekends are just absurd.

Indeed. Hopefully proves once again January as an undisputed corridor for local titles. Obviously this one is fueled by its all-star cast as well.

 

Can't tell how much more Puss in Boots can gross. Unlike Avatar, I don't think Ant-Man is going to make a large impact on its screen count and basically has no big competition until Mario in April.

Great PS so far for Quantumania. Looking like it'll beat both Wakanda Forever and Love & Thunder in previews. 

 

Haven't talked about it but Babylon has been doing quite good. Is half of La La Land and already bigger than First Man. More of an achievement considering is a Rated C title. 

 

So after this week's news about AMC testing a dynamic price based on seat location within their US theatres I did some digging and I've found out that in some Cinépolis' locations special price for kids and 60+ adults has disappeared. This was already a thing for VIP locations since pre-pandemic times but apparently is coming everywhere. We may not have this price based on location but now we'll have a flat price no matter time of the day, day of the week or age range.
