This and other graphs show that Christmas tentpoles usually have a clear and predictable pattern through Holidays. Real legs wont be tested until first weeks of January. Right now we just can guess: Will Avatar 2 follow RO, NWH, SW7? Will it surprise with TGM staying power? We still dont know!

It just looks like 550M is the floor atm.

The problem is not the weekend, but what comes after it. Lot of competition in June and July, and going first (excluding the early May MCU) usually means the stronger the summer, the weaker the legs. TGM was grossing enough and Aladdin kinda (with Disney’s muscle behind it) that they held locations and screens through the summer

Has to start with a 2 to be impressive. The expectation going into today was 18.5-19 so it needs to beat that by a strong amount.

I would be very impressed with 19.5, 19 to me seems pretty good. I was expecting 18 really.
