The marvel movies, the good ones and the bad ones, lived from their MCU connections, but that doesnt seem to exist anymore (atleast in phase 4) and some camoes are not enough to cover it. I honestly dont think the outlook of the next phase would be much better if phase 4 would have been better received. The discussion about MCU flopping is a important one, not because Ant-Man will flop, relative of its budget, but because a comeback is extremely hard after it reached this stage. The performace of the last marvel movies in South Korea is a perfect example for that. The pre-Endgame era,even Marvel sometimes making bad film,like Thor II,but ther making the good film after making the bad film,like they do trush like Thor II but making CA II and GOTG at same time,under this situation we can see “Marvel make trash film” as the accident,like James Cameron make The Abyss——Nothing is perfect,everyone could lost sometimes ,we can just accept that But now?Marvel doing bad film again and again and again,from Thor IV to MOM,Black Widow to Antman III,most of Phase IV movie is piece of shit,under this situation this is definitely not “the accident”,this is must be some kind of “System error”,you understand what I mean? Current MCU have really big problem,if they didn’t rethink their problem,MCU will be the next Transformer. There is China Ping Pong which opens tomorrow as well, was originally CNY release but moved to 17th Feb - heard WoM is good.. even though presales is behind AM3. Then next week there is "A guilty conscience" - highest grossing HK movie in HK (opened during CNY in HK), extremely strong WoM but only opens in China next week. Fact is that franchise in other markets have had ok grosses but compared to other MCU flicks bad.
