Saw this last night and it was excellent. Much funnier yet simultaneously affecting than I expected it to be. Rooting for Madison to secure that Oscar nom for sure.

Baker is a great filmmaker and Madison is an underrated young actress. Really eager to see this one, the premise sounds ripe for bitter laughs.

LFF tickets go on sale this afternoon for this at my local art house and I neeeeed to get tickets. They usually go in an instant so fingers crossed.

Unlike Triangle of Sadness and AoF, Anora rank number 3 in TIFF audience bold well to its general audience potential like Parasite. Should be able to double from the 5m-ish like the previous two Neon's Oscar contenders.

Massive fan of Sean Baker's other films and this was one of my most anticipated of the year but...didn't like it! I felt every minute of its near 2.5 hour runtime, found it surprisingly one note and dull. Mikey Madison is very good. I realize I am in the extreme extreme minority here but it's a 5/10 for me.
