SPECTRE | 11/6/15 | Final Trailer on Page 126! | Twitter reactions coming in, STID 2.0?

All I remember from QoS is that Bond walks away from a plane which crashes in the desert, some plot about water and he doesn't even get the girl in the end. And I watched it OD, doubt if a lot of people remember QoS for SPECTRE to invalidate it.

Will the movie be retitled SPECTER in the US? :P

Everyone seems so sure about this hitting $1 billion and $300 million again, but I don't know. Whether this is good or bad, I see a decease. Before Skyfall, the series was pretty consistent for the most part, then Skyfall all of a sudden broke out. I think it's an outlier. The Adele song, Olympics, anniversary, reviews, strong 2012 November: it was perfect timing.

Before Skyfall, most Bonds were in the $100M range. I don't think the minimum is now $300M's/$1 bill all of a sudden. Just a rough guess right now, but I feel like Spectre drops back around $250M or so. Goodwill from Skyfall will help, but it's not like Bond all of a sudden doubled it's audience, let's be realistic. Still looking forward to this, and that's a sweet cast. It'll be gorgeous.

Bond at the U.S. Adjusted according to BOM.

The question is if it will act like Thunderball after Goldfinger or act like You Only Live Twice after Thunderball (really not expecting a halve in admissions even if I do think it will drop).  Was Skyfall the peak due to the convergence of the 50th anniversary, Olympics etc? O/S just keeps on expanding but Skyfall was so big how much more room for growth is there. Add to that the $ is now a lot stronger so exchange rates are less favorable.

So looks like they're disregarding the Craig series continuity about QUANTUM, which was their own version of SPECTRE

I'm assuming Quantum will be the SMERSH of this incarnation of Bond.

Cmon, I'm sure you remember the horrible CGI from the opening chase scene

Andrew Scott is a good actor, don't know Christoph Waltz though.

I think I'll pass on this. I have very little interest in Bond, it's just a bunch of silly, sexist action spectacle movies.

Why does everyone keep referring it to SPECTRE and not just Spectre?

Waltz is a two time Oscar winner

SPECTRE is an acronym (like SHIELD)

SPecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion)

If Blofeld's character design remains similar to the old version, I wonder how many of the college age audience will assume that Blofeld is a ripoff of Dr. Evil from Austin Powers.

I saw From Russia, With Love last Friday and all I could think about during the SPECTRE members scenes was Austin Powers. Simply a perfect parody, but hopefully the interwebz 90's kidz won't be all over that when this comes out. Probably just wishful thinking though...

Which came first?

Well, since changing Nick Fury into a spy was inspired by Bond and the fact that the SPECTRE logo first appeared on film at least two years before Hydra's first appearance in the comics it's SPECTRE's logo that came first. ;)

He's more a parody of Donald Pleasence's Blofield from You Only Live Twice - down the nehru suit and effete mannerisms. Dr Evil's cat though isn't nearly as pretty.
