May 4, 2012 Weekend (AVENGERS Opening Discussion): ACTUAL 207.4 mill!!!!

Audacious is the word that keeps coming to mind when I think of the film. Others are brilliant, hilarious, fun, breathtaking and indellible. Iloved the whole movie but I would see it a third time just for the humour. Its probably the funiest film of the year as well. I hope it does make 500. A 3 multiplier off 170 would do it.

Congrats to Marvels, making 5 other movies to promote The Avengers really paid off. Maybe DC comics should consider doing the same thing with the next Batman trilogy.

To be honest it would be wisest of them to plan the Batman and Superman reboots around a Justice League build up.

Me too B...The 3rd and the 4th time was still hilarious for me

I agree with you so much about the humor. I don't know the last time I've genuinely laughed in a movie like TA. It honestly does humor and action some of the best I've ever seen it done period.

Many people complained of the humor in Transformers, so not everybody likes it. But generally i think comedy and action fit pretty well :)

Honestly can anyone find the last movie that had an A+ cinemascore? I'm looking and I can't find one

DH2 and THG both got A's. Don't really remember A+ cinemascores recently.

For anyone who doesn't want to use the link: The Help, Soul Surfer, Tangled, King's Speech, Blind Side, Antwone Fisher, Schindler's List, Chamber of Secrets, Fugitive, Driving Miss Daisy, The Lion King, Toy Story 2, Up, A Few Good Men and Titanic. Now yes, some of them had fantastic legs, a lot of them deserve it, but like the entire CS, this grade already shows its weaknesses. Chamber of Secrets getting an A+? 7 movies being before 2000, beginning limited releases like TKS and AF, animated pics, I mean this doesn't guarantee anything at all.Cabin in the Woods should have died with its C score but nope.

The difference is that a C might mean some loved it and some hated it. Whereas an A+ CinemaScore is very hard to achieve, requires almost unanimous praise as just a few lower grades will bump it down
